Fabric Shopping

fabric stack.jpgOkay, I have to admit- I’m addicted to fabric. I have hoards of it in my house. 2 boxes full in my closet, a pile in my craft room and a bag full that I bought from JoAnn’s today. I can just see my husband shaking his head and rolling his eyes as he reads this at work. So, for the record, I used my birthday money to buy it all. Yes, I am in my 30s and I still get birthday money from my mommy and my granny. SO!!!
Anyway, I love all the new different patterns and colors and I just can’t resist my self. Plus they were having a 30% off sale!!! Did I mention they have a huge remnant rack. I can’t walk by it without picking up several little chunks of leftover fabric. They are so great- always only a couple of dollars for the cotton variety and always so pretty and cute! I know I need more fabric like I need a hole in my head, but I actually have projects planned.

1. Two small blankets for my little guys when they watch TV on cold early mornings.

2. A cape for my little super hero (so he will stop running around with the tent cover around his neck)

3. A bag for the gym.

I’m feeling a little motivated right now, so maybe these things will actually get made sometime this year. We’ll have to wait and see!

  1. I don’t know about your JoAnns, but I get these coupons in the mail and signed up for their emailing thingy and get even more to print out from my email.
It is usually 40% off a regularly priced item, but it gets me in the door! I usually spend it on cotton duck, which is never on sale and I use it to make my own canvases….

Funny, I was just there, with coupon in hand, and picked up 4 different fabrics to make my girls messenger bags. Thought I would surprise them so I can’t post about it yet. I also don’t want to get in trouble with my husband!
