I am so totally understanding, and just read through the comments for any advice....none, but encouragement, so I guess that is a good thing. It can get a little, no alot, frustrating, cause nothing gets completed and I am no closer to finding something that absolutely clicks. I love doing everything.

I was once told that it would be better if I found one thing that I really enjoy, stick with it and do your best, instead of a bunch of different things and not doing anything really fabulously. I haven't heeded that advice, yet, anyway.

But what I think is very important to recognize with you, is that all your different works, have a Regina style. "a signature", and it just may be that you need to be doing all sorts of different things, to be doing anything at all. If you just focused on one thing, the clocks lets say, they may not look as fabulous as they do, cause you weren't also creating other things in the background.........okay long post, but I have always said you are so incredibly talented, on so many levels.

I do the same thing. I go back and forth between sewing purses, clothes and anything else that strikes my fancy and quilting. Sometimes I think I should just stick to quilting because I have so much backlog and I really love it the most. I do think keeping a wide perspective has value though. I tend to use cross over techniques between projects which ultimately leads me to (what I think at least) are some unique designs. I see your signature across your project areas which I think is really the point in the end, developing a unique look to what you make.

I occasionally have the same nagging thoughts (especailly when tring to find a place for the supplies for my latest endeavor, and I come across all the unfinished things from 'crafting past'). But I just love to do a wide variety of creative things. Keeps it interesting I guess.

Great clocks, btw!

Great clocks Regina!!
somedays I feel the same way plus I have so many unfinished projects on the go and it frustrates me that I keep starting new things but Ive learnt to live with it as I think its OK to have so many creative interests. Just go with the flow!
Hope the packing is going well and its not too emotional! we're planning to move in 2yrs time and Im freaking out already!

I understand where you are coming from. I have the same problem with getting bored of making jewelery and wanting to try something new. I try not to think of it as a problem, I think it's just part of being a woman. If you're not multi tasking with your hands, you're multi tasking in your head. Oh, and I love your clocks.

I think having a wide variety of things you like to try keeps things interesting whereas possibly just focusing on one or two, might get to be boring. I think being creative often means the jump from one medium to the other because we gravitate towards what is inspiring to us at the moment.

Now...if those clocks are what come out of your inability to focus...(that means there's hope for me and..) you're doing just fine! They are so beautiful! I love them all, but am really drawn to the butterfly.

Maybe you are exploring until you find the one thing that truly makes your heart sing. Or maybe you just like to skip around. I do not see anything wrong with that at all. I mean it is not like you are on your 8th husband or something. LOL And I think you do all of your pursuits well.
