Motherhood Journey#1

11 x 14 Acrylic on canvas

This is what I’ve been working on lately. The start of a maternity/mother-child series. I’ve had some very intense and close bonding experiences at work lately and have been wanting to somehow get it on canvas. I’ve been sketching ideas, collecting images and listening to this amazing online radio station to get me all mother-goddess like.

I also found this great table easel at a yard sale a few weekends ago for only $10!!! Finding it was the jump-start I needed to finally get my paints out.

I swear its in the air…I saw this on flickr earlier today and am just not being able to comment…but I LOVE this!! So very much. I can’t wait to see your whole series. You know I “kinda” have one going too and pulled them out a few days ago too! See, must be spring and rebirth on the brain, lol.
