I love the little tie bag! I just saw an idea in a new book I picked up "Simply Handmade, 365 easy gifts and decorations you can make" of taking the ends of ties and sewing them together to make a garland. Add a pearl (or other embellishment) to the points. I thought now who would have that many ties. =) It says you can also use the ties for a pattern and use other scraps of fabric to make your own "tie ends" for more! Have fun!

I use ties for my handles of my repurposed felted sweater bags. Love this little bag. It would make a cute matching coin purse for my bags. that's a bargain on the ties, btw.

I'm not officially on the diet, but I'm really trying to use what I have, fabric and yarn-wise.

Cute little bag! I thought it might also make a neat envelope for gift cards! maybe even for father's day, but the chance of it getting tossed with other wrappings are high.

All too frequently I wake up in the middle of the night with what I think is a brilliant idea. How funny. I'm so glad you joined the challenge and I can't believe you made that out of a neck tie! Of course, once I knew it was a tie I saw it right away. What a super idea. Now (after July 31st of course) I'm going to have to add neck ties to my "list". :)
