Between our local CSA, the farmer’s market and TJ’s, we’ve been kept in good eats.

 

Strawberry Smoothie

2 bananas
agave nectar to taste
lots of frozen strawberries
2 cups almond milk
2-4 seedless dates
5-8 ice cubes (optional)

Whip up together in blender

Easy Frisée Pasta Salad

12 oz cooked brown rice noodles
1  yellow onion sauteed x 4 minute in EVOO
1 bunch frisée, chopped and cooked w/ onion until just wilted
2 tomatoes, chopped
15 oz white beans, rinsed
Toss everything together
Add homemade balsamic vinegar dressing to coat

Enjoy!

    That looks tasty, I’m going to try something like that this week. We’ve been doing smoothies with 1 banana, cup or so of strawberry kefir, lots of frozen blueberries, and a little ice. What do the dates add – flavor? texture? nutrition?
