Here is my Summer Blouse from Weekend Sewing. Somehow, it all worked out. I thought I had lost all the efforts of a beautiful new shirt, but instead, I want to make more. Many more!
It all magically ended up working out. I made the sleeves 3/4 length and took in the sides. I also used hem tape so I wouldn’t lose any more of the length. I love how it turned out and it may be my new favorite shirt. Next time, I will make it a tad bit longer and try even shorter sleeves since it’s starting to get so warm.
I also made three new simplicity 3835 tops, assembly line style. I had only planned making 2, but I got a strong surge of sewing adrenaline that pushed me on through. I love them all and am looking forward to making a few more summer tops and a couple of skirts too.
Which summer pattern are you loving?

3835 is my old stand by – and I just cut out 4 tonight to sew up tomorrow. I’m also going to try a summer smock tutorial that was posted on the Sew Mama Sew website. I love your weekend sewing shirt – it turned out awesome!

Looks wonderful! I’m afraid my summer sewing has been just for my daughter…it has been years since I’ve made something for myself.

I’ve been seeing that Weekend Sewing shirt making its rounds in blog land. Yours came out nicely. The Simplicity pattern looks good. I’ll check it out on my next trip to the fabric shop. Thanks.

Their all sweet, but I’m loving that top one. Great job! I’m in the process of making some lightweight summer jammie-bottoms, but keep getting interupted. I’ll finish them one of these days…

That summer blouse turned out so nice! I’ve been seeing it a lot lately…now I NEED to get Weekend Sewing! The three shirts are so great, too. I just made Simplicity 4589 and posted about it. It’s relatively easy…the gathers were a bit tricky for my, but it worked out great in the end!

I like the 3835 too…am going to try to get that and make it. Your blog is great…one of the ones who inspired me to really try my hand at this “sewing and blogging thing”.
