These are for a little guy who will be turning 8 this weekend. Stick puppets made from felt, embroidery thread, popsicle sticks and glue.

He is very much into Harry Potter right now and has just finished all 7 of the books.  Now I’m reading them again because I can’t remember pertinent facts for long discussions about Harry and the lot.

I am hoping to add Hagrid, Hedwig, and Crookshanks to the collection, and maybe more if they are requested. I’d like to make a door puppet theater and also wand for his birthday.  We will see how time ticks through out the week.

This is all perfectly timed since the sixth movie will be coming out soon. I don’t know who is more excited, him or me?

You are so talented. These puppets are great. Your son must be very smart. My almost 10 and 8 year old are not interested in reading Harry Potter :-( I will show them the puppets to see if they would like to start reading them.

Love it! I’m so going to try this one with Annabelle . . . besides, we have so many popsicle sticks that are just begging to have something done with them.

They should be called SICK puppets – cause they are so awesome!

Also, I nominated you for an award on my blog today because you were so gracious with my giveaway!

These are too cute! Would you believe I have yet to read a single Harry Potter book?! I have a couple of friends who are rereading the first five before they go see the new movie. These are grown women who do not have kidlets, so it seems these books cross generations!

I found your blog by way of Christyn’s Bead Up blog! :>

  17. Karlene Charlton Says:

    Totally awesome.
I re-read all the books last year just before the movie release date was postponed!
If my sons see this they will probably want some too.

  18. Melanie O. Says:

LOVE them! We obsessively love Harry Potter, too. My daughters would love them!

  19. Cindy Lietz, Polymer Clay Tutor Says:

I just love these puppets! They turned out really great. Reminds me of the YouTube sensation Harry Potter Puppet Pals and the Mysterious Ticking Noise. Must have seen it a million times with the kids!

Love all things Harry Potter. In fact just sold another pair of Radish Earrings made of polymer clay. (She probably wants to wear them to the movie when it comes out.)

Your son is going to love his present! Get ready to attend lots of Potter puppet shows!

I love the way you tapped into a child’s love for Harry Potter and your own creativity through this project. You go, girl!
