I made these for my little guys in hopes that they will use them to carry all their found treasures (rocks, sticks, leaves, etc) when we go out hiking. I made them a few weeks ago, but it has been so hot outside, that we haven’t really have the opportunity to use them yet.
They are made using the same style as this bag. They both picked the same colors and owl, so I had to do a teeny bit of negotiating. They are still very much alike, which makes them very happy.
The boys couldn’t be bothered with modeling these bags for me. Too busy playing with new lego sets. So I hung them on my new entry way peg hooks. I feel so organized, even though I really am not.
Oooh, they’re great! I’m a mean mom, I won’t let the kids take anything that doesn’t fit into a BandAid box, and then they have to leave them outside the garage door when we get home.
And isn’t everything neater, more organized and all around better in general when it’s hanging from a hook and not on the floor or cluttering up a table?
Lucky boys! They are really nice bags. I am sure they are going to enjoy using them. I love them!
I just made bags for my boy and his cousin this weekend, too. But I was waaaaay lazy: I cut the legs off a pair of cargo pants (just above and below the cool pockets that are mid-thigh on the legs), closed the bottom, turned over the top and sewed in a strap of that black woven stuff you can buy by the yard. I stole the idea from Heywood’s Meadow.
