Bench Monday and other stuff

You know it’s bench Monday when you start walking around the house with a weird look on your face, repeating the word, “bench” over and over until you find something that will work.   Craft table?  Sure, why not?

I should have taken my camera to the library with me.  There is a great bench at the library.  Aw well.  It’s okay, because I picked up these great art books (I am especially enjoying Visual Chronicles).  They are totally fueling my passion for learning and art workshops, especially after officially sending in my registration for ARTFEST 2010.  I am so excited that I have been randomly doing a little happy jig several times a day (which is kind of what I’m doing in the top picture). It has had me pouring over art blogs like Creative Everyday and  Illustration Friday which are always very inspiring, but still I need more. So, through my searching, I found some really wonderful creative spots and online art workshops. Really, there are way too many to list, but here are several I found very interesting.

Inspiration:
* Creativity Portal
* Art Lessons for Kid
* The idea generator
* Teesha Moore
* Design for Mankind
* Underground Art School
* Aimar Ilustrado
* Artists who blog
* Art Projects for kids
* Art Journaling 101

Retreats and on-line workshops:
Mondo Beyondo
An Artful Journey
Suzi Blu’s Les Petit Academy
Creative Play
Creative Thursday’s In the Fish Bowl
Creative Workshops

These links make me want to do more happy dancing.  Yay for creative books and web spots!!

    I’d do Bench Mondays, but I’d have to shave my legs…

    I’d never heard of bench mondays until you and blue bird mama shared it. Now I need to grab my camera and come up with something fun; thanks for the inspiration!

    Ooh, and great pic and legs too, 🙂

    Art fest looks like so much fun! Fort Worden is so pretty. I made the mistake of hiking around there at 8 months preggo. But it was so beautiful there!
