My hubby & I have been working on our house. I’ve been having friends over more and we thought it time to finish the main bathroom.
It was very pink when we moved in 3 years ago. We pulled out the sink, cabinets and flooring almost immediately. We would have taken out the tub too, but that was too big of a project for us, especially since we needed it for the kiddos.
Sadly, we put up a make-shift bathroom soon after-functional but not pretty. Almost 3 years later, we finally finished it up, thanks to IKEA. We still have a pink tub, but are looking into glazing it so that we don’t have to remove it.
I decorated it with beach photographs from our vacation last year. They fit perfectly. There’s also the”keep calm” poster in blue on the other side. It feels a little more masculine, but that’s okay because I have my own pretty little bathroom that I’ll show you on another day.

such a beautiful reno! worth all the blood sweat, dust and tears. A friend of mine had her tub coated in like a fibreglass paint and it was very successful.
That honestly looks like it should be in a home decor magazine. Have you thought about sending it into Apartment Therapy? I never would have guessed those colors (pale yellow and black) would blend so perfectly!
The sink is particularly great too. Excellent work
Wonderful transformation!
Regina! You always amaze me with everything you do, absolutely beautiful work you and hubby rock!
I want to live in your bathroom:) It is beautiful!
Lovely! I like the dark wood especially and the paint color, very soothing and serene.
Wow! It looks just awesome! I love the yellow!
Wow, you’ve been busy! Beautiful bathroom. Well done.
Enjoy
Great improvements! I’m partial to black & chrome. Very nice.
Your bathroom makeover is so lovely, I might steal some of your ideas. As far as your tub goes, I would not recommend reglazing it. We reglazed a shower and the finish, even with babying, didn’t hold up with daily use. For the tub in the other bathroom, we decided to go with a custom acrylic liner. It’s a little pricey but not as much as trying to replace the entire tub, and I’ve been very satisfied with it.
Lovely transformation!
a bit of caution about the re-finishing of the tub, it only lasts about 5 years and then it starts to chip >.< I had my tub re-finished 5 years ago from pink to black. Maybe consider a tub-fitter?
