summer inspiration

I am actually really excited for this summer. Not for the heat, mind you, just the possibility of travel, yummy fruit, and lots of indoor activities.
School ended on Friday and the boys have been keeping themselves busy gathering spy gear for adventurous missions in and out of the house. We are working on a list of books to read, activities, things to make and places to go.
I’ve made a list just for myself as well, and it looks to be a full summer. Above is some flickr favorites–things inspiring me now and hopefully into the summer.
* Flying lessons have started and I couldn’t be more thrilled with what is to come.
* Creativity Boot Camp starts up June 6th. It’s free so check it out!
* A Slow Summer Stitch group was started up by artsy-crafty babe. I’m hoping to have a skirt (like the gray one in the bottom left corner) made before summer is up.
* I am still tending to my herbs for the Grow-A-long group.
* Sew Mama Sew is having a Make it, Wear it challenge for the month of June. There are loads of clothing inspiration in their Sewing Women’s Clothing flickr group (looks like they have a new group for this challenge). I am very excited about this because I have fabric coming in the mail and patterns picked out. I’ve already made one top which I will be sharing tomorrow. At least one dress and a new bag are on the list too.
Hope you had a lovely Memorial Day weekend!
