doing a happy dance

Well, not really, just in spirit. I’ve hurt my heel and am hobbling about, trying to dance while sitting with my leg elevated on ice.

The reason I’m doing a happy dance, is because I received my pretty little info packet for Artfest 2011.  Yay!! Not only was it cheerfully presented in a clear envelope with all its cheerfulness shining through, but it came with a sweet mouse pad that says, ” For all of us, the key is to pay close attention to which activities make us feel most alive and in love with life. And then try to spend as much time as possible engaged in those activities.” ~ Nathaniel Branden.

I got all my first choices for classes.  I’ll be taking Misty Mawn’s ‘Make it Funky‘, ‘What’s your Story” with Michelle Allen, and ‘Foreign Intrigue’ with Lynn Parrella.  I can’t even tell you how excited I am to be going to artfest again.  This time with some knowledge and experience of what to expect, and also seeing old friends and meeting new ones.   Only 6 1/2 more months till I go.

I also want to share more stuff that is making me want to do a happy dance:

This song, which I was reminded how much I love by Sperly Girl.

Teesha’s studio which looks more like a magical art store with all those lovely and amazing paints!!

I love all these pretty craft rooms too.

This super sweet owl fabric!

These amazing Spelt Banana Muffins which I’ve made twice now and are definitely making many more times.Just waiting for those bananas to ripen.

I just got this dress pattern in the mail and hope to make a new dress very very soon (it’s still quite hot here–no autumn clothes for a while).

  1. I’m so happy for you!! I don’t have any great aspirations to do anything in the future ~just let life happen as it does~ apart, of course, from some day attending Artfest, when my breastfeeding baby days are over!!!

How do you register for artfest? Would you send me info? I would love to go (and I live in Washington state) but I can’t find a link anywhere.

    Thanks for your help!
