mixing oils

I spent a good time, the other day, replenishing my stash of homemade natural goodies.  I had been running low on several important daily items, and thought I just best get a whole bunch of stuff done while I had my oils out.

I made my homemade deodorant (which I have been using for over 3 years now), some antiseptic ointment, breathe easy chest rub(#8), face cleansing oil (minus the Shea butter and beeswax), some air freshener spray (distilled water, peppermint, orange and lemon thyme essential oils) and some wood polish for my butcher block counter tops, which worked beautifully.

I also wanted to share the new lunch bag I have been sportin’ to work. My lovely friend Elsa made it (she also made me some awesome bags a while back).  I’ve had the stainless steel stack-able lunch container for well over a year and never used them.  Now I have a good reason to. They fit perfectly inside. I even have a napkin that matches!  Thank you so much Elsa!

Hi, I was just reading Flipboard, crafttestdummie to be specific, and she featured Creative Kismet tutorial for carving rubber stamps. You should check it out. Take care

I love that you make all of these things for yourself. I am constantly clipping articles and buying books with ideas for these kinds of things, but never following through. I’m kind of a nature/organic-wannabe, and just haven’t quite gotten there yet! I was clearing off my table last night, and ran across my printout of your “natural remedies” blog post…you can be my natural remedies guru!

I was thinking of making an oil for my hair, it’s been so out of sorts lately ~ got a recipe for that?
So glad you like the bag ~ it looks so nice on your kitchen counter!
