turquoise

I am always drawn to anything turquoise, aqua, sky blue. It is my most favorite color (along with orange and yellow too). Actually I love all colors, the brighter the better. In fact, don’t ask me if you should paint your front door orange or neon green because I’ll most likely tell you YES!

So when I saw that turquoise owl soap spitter, I had to have it.  It was actually given to me by Michelle (Thank you Michelle!). I had really wanted to buy it, but it had been out of stock, so she very kindly gave this one to me on my visit.  I love all things owl–add the turquoise and it’s a perfect combination! He is sitting at the kitchen sink, hoot-hootin’, to remind us to wash our hands (really, he’s trying to catch the attention of my 2 little guys).

Then there was this screen door at the antique market. It was love at first site. The guy wanted $10 but my good buddy talked him down to $5!!! Is that crazy, or what? I would have happily paid $10, but am super lucky to have a friend that gets me good deals.

It has the coolest hardware! I thought it would be fun to use as a display piece for future craft fairs.  What do you think?  And do you have a favorite color that calls out to you?

My favorite colors are burgundy and turquoise. They make me smile, any variation of this color way is beautiful to me.

I love the photos ~ especially the ‘Hippies Use Back Door’ one. I was a hippy and refused service on many of an occassion ~ just because of how I was dressed. Silly.
Anyway, I’m really drawn to a mustardy color and red. I know they don’t make sense together but there’s just something about them. And then, there’s always orange.

  4. Turquoise and teal. Love the screen door, I think it will make a lovely display!

Turquoise is gorgeous, but it never comes to mind when I think of “favorite colors.” (My 4-year-old always cites teal as her favorite!) I adore that screen door. It’s a great idea to use it in a craft show set-up, but it sure would bring me a smile to walk through it every morning and afternoon! 🙂

  6. yes! turquoise for me too! and $5 that’s a steal..:)
