summer reading

We’ve been getting some great books from the library (we love our library) and I have been trying to read with the boys every night.

We just finished reading Oddfellow’s Orphanage by Emily Winfield Martin (aka Black Apple).  Not only was the story cute and fun, but the illustrations were really delightful.  My boys loved the bear family best.

Now we are reading Pie by Sarah Weeks which is a mystery book about a fat cat and a special pie crust recipe. Every chapter has a recipe for a different pie filling. It’s a fun read and it makes us incredibly hungry for pie!

I have only skimmed through the other books. The Healthy Green Drink Diet is not really a diet book, but rather a way to supplement your regular diet with some healthy green drinks (both smoothies and juices). I’m looking forward to trying some of the recipes.

For the last two books, I will have to let you know if they are good or not. The Etsy book seems a little outdated since Etsy has changed so much in the last year, but I am hopeful that there are a few good nuggets of helpful information.

Links to all of the books are in my sidebar carousel (these are amazon affiliate links where I can earn a very small amt of $)

I think you’re doing well enough, or perhaps better than the author of the etsy book?

Thanks for sharing your library finds. We love the public library; the librarians are always so helpful.

I love it when book recommendations are made or people just share what they’ve been reading – I was soooo thrilled to see that you have the same “Nutcracker” book that has always been a treasure in my house and was my cherished book as a child. You have excellent taste – keep it up!!

  4. Your blog and site are so inspiring, do you mind if I add you to the blogs list on my site?
