Oona Owl and Okey-bot (stuffed friends)

I think I have done more sewing in the last week than I have all year long.  I sorta have a love/hate relationship with sewing. I love the end product, hate the process.  Weird, I know.  But, it is best if no one is around when I sew.  I have been known to swear and (I’m embarrassed to admit this) throw things. It really is the only thing that enrages me in this way.

This is why, when people ask me to sew something, I cringe and my eye starts twitching.  Painting, you ask? I’ll paint almost anything. And I’ve never been known to throw a paint brush.

Surprisingly, I did well with this project. I think I even enjoyed it a little. I thought I could make a stuffy for all my nieces and one nephew (6 total) but they are so much more time consuming than I thought they would be (everything always is).

So, for now, one sweet owl and one little robot was made. More may come someday. Who knows.

    These are adorable!
I go thru a phase with sewing as well.
I love working with fibers, and my thing around xmas time was wet felting.
That is a good upper body workout.
I also did a felt painting for my sister , which I love a lot.

    Happy New Year
    Mariette 😉

I love these Regina. I am so glad that I am not alone in the “sew-rage” thing. I love to be able to make sewn things but the process—- aarrghhhh!!!! Sometimes I sit and do some parts by hand just to save my sanity!!! :o)

Clearly, you turn your frustration into amazing things! Your pieces are adorable!

I feel the exact same way about sewing! I have a love hate relationship with it. It has been months since I’ve sewn. I’m avoiding the machine for the sake of my children! 🙂

    They are so sweet.
My relationship with sewing is much different ~ I love it and have since I was a little girl ~ although ~ I have been known to cry when I put a zipper in a dress.
