41 is good

Today is my birthday.

Being in my 40’s has been absolutely fabulous, aside from the occasional neck pain, I feel really great about myself and life in general.

My gorgeous family took me out today to do get me out of the house and find me some inspiration.

So we stopped at my favorite coffee place for a green tea latte to-go and headed south to Tubac, Arizona.

It’sĀ  small artisan community about 30 minutes away from the Mexico border with lots of shops, galleries and restaurants.

As you can see, there is no shortage of delicious, bright, happy color.

My guys were such good sports about letting me go into every shop I wanted to and stopping to take a million pictures. A pure feast for the eyes.

After a lovely day, we went home for some chocolate peanut butter cake, presents and some Downton Abby.

An absolutely perfect day!

  2. Happy Birthday to you! Those photos are gorgeous. I had my first visit to Arizona last July when my daughter moved there, but we didn’t venture southward from Phoenix. Next time I go there, I’m heading down to Tubac (wherever that is) it looks amazing! I hope you had a great day!
