Review: Undefined Stamp Carving Kit by Stampin’Up

Undefined Stamp Carving kit by Stampin'Up

Look at what I got to play with this weekend.  A really fun little stamp carving kit by Stampin’Up. They very kindly sent me one to review.

It comes with everything you need to carve and mount 4 rubber stamps.

Included in the set are:

  • 2 carving tools
  • 3? x 4? rubber to carve into
  • 3? x 4? foam (to add padding between the wood and rubber stamp)
  • 4 wood blocks (various sizes)
  • 1 Island Indigo Stampin’ Write Marker
  • 3 postcards to stamp onto
  • Instruction sheet
  • Stamp image templates

The best part though, is the 2 tools that come with the kit. Instead of one tool with several cutting pieces that you need to switch out, it come with two simple, easy -to-use tools. One with a small tip (for fine, detailed work) and one with a larger tip (for cutting away bigger areas). It’s really all you need.

Mermaid Stamps

There are image templates to use, if you need ideas, but I chose to make a little mermaid set with my kit.

Mermaid Stamp Postcards

It also comes with 3 postcards to decorate with your finished stamps.

Overall, I really love this kit. I think it would make a perfect gift and is great for the beginner and more seasoned carver. I love that you can mount your stamps on wood and that there is a marker in the set too.

FOR FUN: I thought it would be fun to send out my little mermaid postcards to 3 different people, because who doesn’t love getting stuff in the mail!. On the back I will write one of my favorite quotes.  Leave a comment and I’ll pick 3 people by Monday.
