I got to hang out with one of my dearest friends today. We’ve been friends for over six years, and even though I don’t get to see her often, I am always so uplifted by her kind and loving spirit. She is definitely one of my truest friends and I value her friendship so much.
To honor her and our bit of time together, I made her a little gift. She loves the ocean as much, maybe more than I do. I made her a teeny little 3×3 ocean painting with lots of texture. I used light molding paste and even added a bit of pearl mica flakes to make the ocean shimmer. Then I made a string of shells and glass beads for her to hang in a window.
We had a very lovely time and I hope she knows how much I appreciate her.
what a lovely gift. the painting is gorgeous – love the texture!
wow regina this small painting is spectacular!!!! i love how it feels like a little piece of ocean and the shell string well of course i love that too:)
Being with friends that know who we are so so precious.
Love the gifts you made for her ~ using mica in the ocean is brilliant!
What a cool gift! I really like the string of shells and the necklace you made the day before. Very inspiring, as usual, Regina. 🙂
Oh, and I received my Etsy order, and I love love LOVE IT! The banner is hanging in my kitchen window where I will see it every day. Thank you!
We love going to the beach and just can’t resist collecting odd looking shells. Unfortunately, they just sit in one corner of the house. You just gave me a brilliant idea for the shells that I have collected over the years. Thank you for this post.
