mini ocean art and string of shells

I got to hang out with one of my dearest friends today. We’ve been friends for over six years, and even though I don’t get to see her often, I am always so uplifted by her kind and loving spirit. She is definitely one of my truest friends and I value her friendship so much.

To honor her and our bit of time together, I made her a little gift. She loves the ocean as much, maybe more than I do.  I made her a teeny little 3×3 ocean painting with lots of texture. I used light molding paste and even added a bit of pearl mica flakes to make the ocean shimmer. Then I made a string of shells and glass beads for her to hang in a window.

We had a very lovely time and I hope she knows how much I appreciate her.

We love going to the beach and just can’t resist collecting odd looking shells. Unfortunately, they just sit in one corner of the house. You just gave me a brilliant idea for the shells that I have collected over the years. Thank you for this post.
