Here is my latest little portrait. I am especially pleased with her hands, which took some time to get right.
The weather has been so lovely! I’m walking in the morning again and the evenings are cool enough for turning on the oven and making roasted veggies, warm soups and hot beverages. I love this time of year!
Did you know if you type “healthy hot cocoa” into google there are a ton of articles about hot cocoa improving brain power and decreasing dementia! Awesome!!
Also, here is a great hot cocoa recipe using dates. I always add a dash of cinnamon to mine. YUM!
crazy in love with this painting Regina! the hands are amazing! Love the painted nails an the aubergine background.
Thank you Angella!
Is this painting done with acrylic paint on watercolor paper Regina?
Yes. Acrylic on watercolor paper. This paper is super heavy weight: 300lb hot press.
Yummmmm! I can just smell all of that hot chocolate goodness 🙂
For last night’s dinner I got a soup bread-bowl with chile corn soup at Beyond Bread – yummy!
Sounds so good!
Hi Regina. The first thing I noticed was the lovely job you had done on this sweet lady’s hands and then I read your post! The colours are great too, so warm, cosy and inviting. We have entered an early summer here so no hot cocoa in sight for us for many a month now. It’s cyclones, bushfires, wild storms, and hot, hot days for us. Love your work.
Thanks Sandy. I feel for you, having just come out of some really hot days too. Maybe you could enjoy an iced cocoa. 🙂
Regina – I love this painting! Is there any chance that prints will appear in your shop?

would make a great card to send to a friend inviting them over for tea!
