a little bit of knitting

knitting

I like to squeeze in a little bit of knitting during the winter.  Above is a headband for my friend who walks her dog early every morning.  I don’t know if I will finish before it starts warming up. It was 75 degrees today, but still pretty chilly in the morning.

And I made these wrist/arm warmers, called toast. I also made a pair for my friend too.  They were really easy and fast once I figured out how to knit with double pointed needles. Maybe next year Ill try making the ones with the thumb part.

I like knitting most when we are driving long distances. I tried knitting while watching the second episode of Downton Abby, but mostly I sat there staring at the screen with my mouth open in disgust.  Always trying to shock us!

oh i love these creations! i really must learn to knit!
though of course, then I too would be distracted from Downton Abbey (I started watching this winter and in Season 3!)

  3. ME TOO!!! The 2nd episode had me laughing at parts, crying in parts, completely astounded at outraged in other parts….I walked around like a zombie the rest of the night. It upset me so much.

I love the color of your “Toast.” They turned out really nice. I have had this pattern on my To-Do list for quite awhile but it never seems to get cold enough here for me to make them. Tucson weather has been really weird this year. I can’t believe it’s been in the 70’s for so long! I love your rings by the way. 🙂
