I had to make at least one thing with a heart on it before Valentine’s day. It just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t. If I wasn’t busy getting ready for an art show, I’d be making all sorts of heart stuff. But no time. 🙁
So, an abstract heart to quench my heart making needs. A fun one too. Nothing like playing with color and paint to lift your spirits.
More color/paint play on wood panels. These are the base layers. I love adding lots of paint (and sometimes paper) for the base. I think it gives the end painting more dimension and texture, which I love.
