No, I didn’t forget.  It’s just been a crazy week with me being sick and now my little one is sick too. I’m using my magic remedies on him, but thought it best to give him a restful day from school.  To top it off, the hubby has been out of town all week. Home tomorrow though, yay!!!  I’ve resigned myself to not getting much done this week.

I really enjoyed reading all that you are grateful for, over the weekend. Today, I am thankful that my little guy was home with me. He wanted some string and I ended up wrapping him with it for fun.  He thought it was fun too, for minute, then he wasn’t too happy.   You never know what a sick little 6 year will do, butI got him giggling again in no time.

I love this picture of my Super-E.  I took it when we were in San Diego.  The hubby and I were sitting on a bench watching the kids run around a fountain in Balboa park.  Then Super-E sat down in this position, for quite a long time.  People were stopping to watching, I think a few even people stopped to take his picture!  It was really cute though.

We’ve been dropping the kids off at school and going for a 60-90 minutes hike. This was taken on Wednesday.  It was close to 80 degrees when we finished out hike. Beautiful weather and the ocotillo plants are so green and alive.

On Thursday, when we went hiking again and it was cloudy, grey and cold (well for desert rats, that is).  That is how the season changes around here, over night. I am so happy that the weather is cooling and we can go outside to play!

We made a mad dash off to San Diego last Friday for the weekend to celebrate my hubby’s 40th birthday.  We had such a wonderful time.  Perfectly cool weather, tons to do and lots of yummy food.  It was so much fun!! Here is a peek at some of my favorite photos.

Sorry I haven’t been over here much.  I have been trying to keep a strong presence over at my e-course space and have been actually doing my journal prompts and doing many of the daily gratitude practices that I discussed in my e-course.  It’s been a nice place to be right now and I am soaking up as much as I can.

On the home front, we have been busy with the beginning of school. I forgot how busy that could be, but the kids are doing wonderfully in their new spaces and we are once again finding our new groove.

I also had a chance to fill out my Artfest registration form and send it off today.  It was SO hard picking 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for classes.  I am really hoping for one in particular, but am putting it out of my head, since it is completely out of my control now. Do you think a prettily decorated envelope will persuade Teesha to give me my first choices?   We’ll have to wait and see.

I thought they were being monkeys, but they keep insisting that they are being Spider boys.   Who knew!

Today we went swimming, we jumped to music, talked about our happy home, laughed really hard, ate  chocolate chips and lemon drops  and just had a really great day.

Now I’m opening a bottle of wine to celebrate the hubby coming home after a long week away. Yay!! The day just keeps getting better and better.

Today I celebrate 18 years of marriage with my one and only, love of my life.  After all this time I still adore him to pieces. I am especially grateful for his patience with me as I have been furiously working on my e-course. He’s been helping with home stuff, taking the kids out so I can make my videos, and soothing my tears of frustrations when I hit a road block. He has helped me so much with everything. Every crazy and wild idea I have, he has totally supported.  I know I’ve said it before, but I really couldn’t do all I do without his constant love, support and encouragement.Thank you, honey.

The picture above is of us 13 years ago.  It was the summer before our last year of college. We were heading out on an 8 week trip around the US in a 1974 VW camper-van.  We had so much fun together.

Today is also the first day of my e-course. So far, everything has been going nice and smoothly. I am totally blessed with the  amazing group of women taking this course. Already, they have shared so much about themselves and it’s a beautiful thing getting to know them.  I am so stoked to be on this journey!!

Artfest classes and registration is up today!   yippee! I am really looking forward to seeing my artfest friends again.

I  am heading to Phoenix on Wednesday to go to Art Unraveled. I am going just for the day, since it is a quick 2 hour drive (:P).  I will be taking Karen Michel’s Wood Collage Totem class.  I wasn’t going to go, with the busy week I have going, but the hubby assured me that I need this time away from work and the computer.

Lastly, I have to share Michelle’s giveaway week. If you don’t know Michelle, she is an amazing artist, teacher and business woman. I met her at artfest and she is so kind and so talented. She makes the most amazing art, clocks, banks, sculptures and so much more. Her fun, colorful and funky style is right up my alley.  I would love to get the Owl soap spitter for the boys’ bathroom and the little Owl Doodling for me and maybe even the owl frame and owl clock  - Hoot, hoot!!   And maybe even go holiday shopping for friends and family.  Nothing like supporting a fellow artist and friend, right?!  Please stop by and take a look!

We ventured out this evening to see my friend Alexandra’s art at Create Cafe. She had the most awesome display set up with her beautiful art and hair clips.  It was so nice to see her and all the interest buzzing around her.

We ate dinner at Create Cafe too. Enjoyed a delicious felafel sandwich and sweet potato fries. Yum!

And shared a bit o’ beer with my hubby.

And the boys played Foosball, which was the highlight of their evening.

On the way home we bought Harry Potter part 7.1.  We’ll be watching it tomorrow so we can see the last movie on Sunday. We are very excited.
