I decided to join in with Jane DesRosier’s Klimt challenge.
It was fun flipping through my Gustav Klimt art book and picking bits and pieces that were inspiring to me. I’ve always been a big fan.
Last Sunday day for 89cent bowling.
The kids had a blast!

Some little magnets, painted with some sweet little party animals.
They are all celebrating the birthday of the Regal white horse. Everyone has their red party hats on and they are going to have a grand time!

I finished my little wood blocks yesterday and spent the whole day today, listing everything on etsy. Phew!
I love painting small. These have a collage paper base,then they are painted with an encaustic wax layer on top. You can see a couple of older pieces in there too.

packet for Artfest 2012–Yay!

A huge package from my friend Tammy.
I had so much fun going through it all. Lots of stuff for me to play with –papers. stamps, beads and recipe books! And she made that adorable little owl in the corner! It’s so sweet, I just LOVE it!!
And then I received 2 postcards. The heart drops from Kate, and the cupid from Glenda. Such lovely gifts to get in the mail. They really put a smile on my face.
Glenda, Tammy and Kate are all friends that I met at Artfest, so I’ll be seeing them again next year. I can’t wait!
It has been raining off-and-on all week and it has been glorious. 70 degrees after a hour of rain is truly bliss. It’s all anyone can talk about around here.
Feels so fresh, green, light and cool.

I painted this sweet little girl for the cover of my red-rosin paper journal. I love her blue sweater and matching blue hat.
I also prepped some 6cm x 6cm wood blocks for some mini paintings with encaustic wax. I hope to get to work on those this weekend–keeping fingers crossed.
