Phoebe cat

phoebecat.jpg

I painted this last week as a wedding gift for two very good friends who have been together forever and finally tied the knot recently. I promised them a painting, then tortured myself for weeks about what to paint. I wanted it to be really special because they are special. We’ve been friends for what seems like ages and have shared lots of funny and very interesting moments together (camping trips, parties, late nights, drinks, weddings, cat fights, and getting the boot on several occassions). Good times. This painting is of their cat- Phoebe. I’m not totally satisfied with the painting I did for them, but it’s what I could do in the time I alloted myself. Someday I will paint them an even better painting. My hubby was able to personally deliver this painting all the way to Wisconsin over the weekend for their wedding party and I stayed home with the kids (yes, the sacrifices a mother must make).

So here you go, J and Jen. Congratulations and I love you guys! Cheers!

This painting is beautiful. I didn’t get to see it because I was too hot and went and rested in the car while they opened it. I don’t know why you’re not satisfied, it’s vintage regina, which means perfect.

This is such a sweet painting and such a great gift. I love the blue highlights on the black kitty, and the green chair is really cool too.
