A bag for a friend

A friend from work is getting married soon and I went out lastnight (for the first time in many months) by myself to her little bridal get-together dinner. Well, obviously I needed a gift, and I HAVE known about this for a month, yet I still managed to wait till the very last minute (as usual) to make something. I know I’m not the only one that does this, but WHY does this happen every time- the last minute thing.

Made just hours before the event, I thought a little bag with a few thing in it would be nice (and quick). The green fabric is canvas and the front pocket, straps and lining are from this sheet. I like it so much, I think I’ll be making one for myself in the very near future.

Have a great weekend!!

Your bag is beautiful; something about the spontanaeity of a last minute gift that brings out the best in our creativity. It is kind of like the difference between the term paper you researched all semester; the night before when you rewrite it, the end result is probably better because you had to just do it. Deadlines bring out the best in us. I love this bag. It is fantastic!

This is gorgeous!!! I have been having poppies on the mind so I think I love it more than I normally would in a non pregnant state of mind.

  4. Cute bag! I always put projects off till the last minute too:)

If it takes a deadline to produce such beautiful work, give them to yourself more often. That is one sweet bag!!
