Hibiscus tote

I struck up a deal with one of my co-workers.  She makes beautiful beaded badge holders and sells them .  I really wanted one but didn’t want to buy (not something I really need right now and I’m house hunting at the moment).  Anyway, I decide to ask her to do a swap and she happily agreed.  This is what I made for her.  She is always wearing Hawaiian scrub tops so I thought a hibiscus flower would be perfect.  I’ll be taking it to work for her tomorrow.

The flower is freezer paper stencil of course.

I love the combination of interior and exterior fabrics. It is beautiful. She should be pleased; seems like a great trade.

I’ve decided that no one should look too closely at my freezer paper stencils…I think I’m sloppy. Yours on the other hand always turn out lovely!

  3. That is a lovely bag! That lining fabric is so pretty and I love the freezer paper stencil on the outside!

I so wish you’d teach me how to do that stencil technique. I keep reading about it everywhere, but just haven’t taken the time to figure it out. Your beautiful bag is great motivation!
