Mail: in & out

Warning: Close your eyes if you don’t want to see button boobies.

First, in the mail yesterday came my pretty little tea towel from Simone (thanks!) for Crafty Daisy’s Tea Towel Swap. It’s all nice and white and it is going to stay that way! No dirty little (or big) boy hands are going to make their mark on this lovely towel. I have found that the longer I am surrounded by these three guys of mine, the more I like pink and girly things. I’m not really into my hair, make-up or clothes, but I am lovin’ old, vintage, shiny, flowery and pretty things lately. Go figure.

The pretty and very nicely done embroidary is on the four corners of the towel. I love it.

Going out in the mail is this button card I made for a very dear friend of mine who is having a baby. I was inspired by these three beauties, made by Michelle of Green Kitchen. I am still working on the gift part of this card. Haven’t decide what yet.

I thought I’d stay up and work on some stuff, but I hardly got any sleep without my sweetie by my side last night. Every little sound was amplified by 100! I even had to put a night light on! I’m such a weenie. Going to bed~ night, night.

Oh, that card is absolutely phenomenal. So great, Regina.

I totally know what you mean about not sleeping well without your husband your side, I’m a wimp when mine is gone, too. Seriously, why is it that noises get louder and more frequent when you’re doing the single parent thing? Hope the time flies by, and you’re all back together soon!

Regina, your card turned out great! I read the intro and had to look. I bet your friend gets a good laugh.

  6. That button card is so, so cool.

I have a hard time sleeping when my husband’s not here, either, and he’s in the Navy so he’s not here a lot. Getting cats actually helped me with that — I assume every little sound is them — which means if it ever isn’t, I’m in trouble! 🙂
