and bummed out that I have to work tomorrow. Going to bed really early tonight. Right after I finish this post and drink my hot ginger and lemon tea. Gooood for the throat. Soup is also good for the throat and coughing. That’s what we had for dinner. The boys really like to get into their soup, slurping it all up. Watching them eat soup and the soup itself makes me feel much better.

I snapped these shots a few days ago when we noticed these finger-sized “growths” on our fencepost cactus. Upon closer inspection, they are little blooms with an incredibly strong and beautiful scent, attracting bees, woodpeckers and hummingbirds.

I can’t believe I caught this shot of the hummingbird.  They’re so super fast and amazing.  I was standing on my back porch zooming in, so this shot is cropped considerably for the full effect.

I’ll be back on Wednesday, hopefully recovered from this cold and a twelve (possibly 16) hour shift.
