This is my first ever crocheted plushy. I had to make it after I saw it on create via one pretty thing. It was sent to my little friend Ruby, whose daddy is a math professor (I made these for her when she was just a wee one). Thought they’d appreciate a little Pi on Pi day.
Can you believe that I am STILL sick. I had been so proud of myself for not getting sick from Novemeber through February, then BAM!! I’m knocked off my butt! I think I have progressed to a sinus infection. The whole left side of my face is in pain. Some tylenol and a whole lot of napping helped me survive today, along with some acv gargling, eucalyptus steam breathing and garlic. I was up until midnight last night coughing myself to tears, literally. I have got to get better and am a strong believer of natural remedies. I’m not a big fan of the doctors office or of antiobiotics either. So, tomorrow I’ll be on a strict regimen of acv gargling, garlic, sleep, steam and tea. No sugar either. I’ll let you know how it goes. Wish me luck.
ha ha ha! that’s the only Pi that’s ever made sense to me! It’s fab- you must be proud.
As for the illness…poor you….you must be so fed up with it.
I hope the regime works….will you get any sun to help?
get well soon,
Nicki x
I know it’s important to take good care of yourself naturally, but I’m a chronic cougher when I get sick. The real Sudafed to dry up the mucous, and Robitussin DM at least can scare your cough away for a while. Otherwise, a little Jack Daniels and Diet Coke?
Luck!
That Pi is the best!
We were so sick as well. It seemed to linger forever. Rest and fluids are always on the top of my remedies.
Yay, I’m so glad you made a Pi!!!!
(Sorry you’re sick!!! Seems like we all are..grrrrr!)
Hey, this is so cute. Great job for a first plushie. One day I will learn to crochet, I am working on knitting but it’s not turning out so well. Thanks, love your blog. Great ideas!
Sorry to hear you’re still under the weather! I hear ya on the natural-remedies-if-possible. Vitamin C, no sugar or caffeine, and plenty of hydration is my standard catchall treatment :-). I just kicked a nasty UTI with that method, coupled with a hearty dose of cranberry pills! makes me feel powerful and capable to take care of those things without running off to the doctor, you know? Though of course I have no prob. going to the doc if a situation truly warrants it.
Have you tried a neti pot? I can’t get totally behind it, myself, but I know of others who used to get chronic sinus infections and now they swear by the thing.
Good luck, and feel better!
PS: cute pi!
I am a big fan of your blog!!!
I recently discovered the neti pot or nasal saline rinses for sinuses and it’s truly amazing – in addition to the acv, etc…
Get well soon!
Hey girl~ ~ ~Feel better soon.
Love your Pi.

Hope you’re feeling better soon. Do you also have a netti pot to use? I swear by mine. I won’t go without again ever if I can help it. :0)
