Things that make me smile….

~I won this wonderful little fabric basket made from a recycled sweater with the most beautiful ceramic buttons.

It came to me from Jan at Alpine Life, who lives in Germany.  What a joy it was to open her recycled packaged goodies to discover the wonderful little gems inside. All the chocolates were German and had a wee bit of liquor in them, except for one.  Mmmmmm.  The hubby and I hid away in his office nibbling on the delicious sweets, giggling.  We felt like teenagers sneaking a sip from the liquor cabinet.  Mom, I never really did that.  Just guessing… ahem…

Anyway, also enclosed were some candles, a beautifully scented bar of soap from Italy, a small jar with Euro doodads and a page from a German text~perfect for my next set of ATCs.  Lastly, she included a hand-painted little egg which is now hanging on my little wire tree.  It makes me smile everytime I see it.  Thank you so much Jan, for your very generous gift!

~Another thing that is really making me smile, is seeing my beautiful yellow floor in my craft room.  It’s been piled up with stuff since early December.  I went through every drawer and box and recycled a ton of paper and a trunk load went to goodwill.  Feels so good to start fresh.  I’ll be getting a new shelving system soon and then I’ll be so incredibly organized that I won’t know what to do with myself!
