Nope.
Who’da thunk it would really rain. I mean REALLY rain. The wind kept getting stronger and stonger that we finally decided to stay home, much to the kids’ dismay.
Instead we set up the tent inside and the kids have been sleeping in it all weekend. We also roasted veggie dogs on our grill outside and ate some smores.
Saturday it rained so much that we did our own version of rainwater harvesting. The kids ran around madly collecting the largest containers they could find. We also put up two other very large containers and collected about 20 gallons total. Water in Arizona is precious.
I hope you had a Happy Easter,
That sounds like fun! It’s raining here too – but we’re flooding insead…
Wow, that’s a lot of rain you caught! – we were expecting some rain last week, but just got a couple drips – maybe it was the same system? not sure. I’ve been reading a bit about rainwater collection – we should probably get a little more serious about it.
Hey, we grilled in the backyard, too! We skipped the smores and just went for the marshmallows. Rebecca likes to go around telling everyone “Mommy had five!” Can you hear me oinking?
Sorry about the change of plans, but sounds like you made the most of it and had a great time anyway. Have a good week!
Sounds like you had a lot of fun this weekend!
Lovely flower (and I secretly love your buckets!).
Linked over from Montessori Mama’s blog and found your wonderful photo’s and pictures, great crafts and delightful writing.
Good luck on all your projects I will check in often.
