Meet Mr. Rocky, our new tortoise. He is so flippin’ cool. We are not exactly sure how old he is, but he could be ages! They live to be 80-1oo years old!
He’s been trekking around the yard checking things out. He touches his nose to the ground, every now and then and takes a sniff and he is lovin the rose petals we’ve been giving him. He also eats collard greens, kale, mustard greens, herbs, desert grasses, new growth of cacti and their fruit and flowers. He’s been eating the weeds too, which is mighty helpful.
He sleeps a good part of the time, but we still like having him around.
Now, check out my awesome mother’s day gift.
My sweet guys brought me lunch at work, and gave me my poem and some homemade flowers. So so sweet. The poem got me all teared up. I also bought myself some mi SPA stuff cuz you know ~ mama’s need their pampering. I got the shampoo bar, some soap and some yummy smelling lip balm. I haven’t the used the shampoo bar yet, but I’ll let you know how it works. I recognized all the ingredients, which I love!
P.S. I put a few more prints in my shop. Print giveaway coming soon.
Wow! That’s one cool tortoise! It looks like he loves his new home!
Oh, geez, that is the cutest dang poem ever. *I* teared up and I didn’t even give birth to the kid! :0) He is such a sweetheart, I’m assuming it was Super E? Glad you had a good day, I’m sorry you had to work. But I suppose working in the LDR has its special meaning on Mother’s Day, doesn’t it? Nice to meet Mr. Rocky, he looks like he’d be great for lowering blood pressure.
