dog days of summer

it’s hot. really hot.  Or maybe I’m just really sick of it being hot.  Over a hundred degrees today and I could hardly stand it. When is it going to cool down?!?!  Please let it be very soon.

We drove to my most favorite library ever only to find out that it is going to be closed and renovated over the next year!  Huge downer for me since we go there 2 or more time a month.  I love that place, seriously! So, off we went to the next closest library which is kinda cool too, but very small with tall, tall ceilings–just not cozy and familiar like my other place.  While driving away, I decided to pull over, hop out and snap the shot above. It was almost more than anyone could handle.  Too much for a hot day like this. It made my little guy quite the cranky fellow. I don’t blame him at all.

On another note, I found some lovely mineral make-up at an etsy shop called the all natural face. I don’t wear much makeup, only a quick brush on for work. So, I want it to be vegan (no testing on animals) and without the yucky stuff too.Plus it’s nice to have for special occasions too.  I bought some samples first, foundation colors and some eyeshadow, which were kinda fun to play around with.  It’s been YEARS since I colored my eyelids, but sometimes you need a little drama, especially for dress-up time. You never know when a niece or little girlfriend might want to come over and play with your non-toxic make-up. It goes on quite nicely making your skin look natural but even in color.  The brush is wonderfully soft and the hyrdration mist is dreamy.  I love it all.
