commissioned

An old high school friend of mine commissioned me to do this piece of her grandmother and mother.  Her mother’s 65th birthday was celebrated this last weekend.

My friend, Ellen, sent me this photo to work off of and told me that her mother loves hummingbirds, tulips, and grew up near Puget sound.

Here is what Ellen had to say, “I received the artwork and am BLOWN away by how perfect and beautiful it is. My mom was visiting this weekend and we gave it to her on Saturday and she was sobbing..she absolutely loved it and knew right away what it was..she said it looked just like her mom!!! Thank you sooo much for making her 65th birthday sooo very special!!!”

I am so glad I was able to help make her birthday so special.  It makes my heart swell, *sniff*sniff*.
