wooden bowl makeover

I found this great wooden bowl at the thrift store over the weekend and knew I could spruce it up a bit.

I lightly sanded it and then primed it with white acrylic craft paint.   Then I painted it blue–yellow and cream on the inside. After it dried, I sanded it lightly to bring out the white underneath and sanded a little harder around the edges to bring out the brown wood color.

I am tickled with how it turned out. I’ll be using it for an upcoming craft fair that I signed up for. I’m thinking I’ll put some magnets in it, or something else.

Hope you have a happy Monday.
