ocean’s voice

If I lived by the ocean, I wouldn’t be a homebody any more. I’d be at the ocean every day.

My good friend Amy, loves the ocean too, so I made her this little painting on wood for her birthday.

It’s small, but it speaks quietly, yet powerfully about the lure of the deep blue ocean.  I gave it a nice coating of encaustic wax which I smoothed out a bit before giving it to her. Then I added my favorite ocean poem on the back.  I think she loves it as much as I loved making it for her.

I added prints of it to my shop too!
