I’ve had some little birdies in my head for awhile and finally had a chance to stitch one up on our 4 hour drive over the weekend. I didn’t stitch during the entire drive, but did do some stitching at my mom’s and my grandma’s, both of whom are expert stitchers. My grandmother helped me finally get the hang of those little french knots!
I have a winter, summer and fall bird all drawn up too. I thought they would make a fun addition to pillows, quilt, aprons, totes, etc. For some reason, I always imagine embroidery projects as being a warm weather thing. Sitting back with a tall glass of tea while stitching to some good tunes. Not too hot or bulky. Just you, a hoop, a bit of fabric, some thread and needle. Nice…
