NYC::part 1

at a random corner in NYC

First off, thank you, thank you, thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes.  I had such a wonderful birthday this year.

We had the most wonderful time in NYC. New York welcomed us in with snowy cold weather. Much, much colder than we are used to, but it really didn’t hold us back any.  We just bundled up and headed out.  This is our third time to NYC together, so we didn’t go to the usual places.  We tried to do things we hadn’t done before. We were there for only 48 hours, but we managed to do a lot.

The first day, we didn’t land until around 4pm because of snow delays. It was beautiful flying in, seeing all that snow everywhere.

We managed to check into our hotel, take the subway to the Guggenheim to see the Maurizio Cattelan exhibit. We got in 40 minutes before closing to see his amazing and very complex hanging sculpture.  There were so many people there, it felt like a big party.  After that we went to Candle Cafe, which was divine.  It’s not every day that we can go to a restaurant and eat anything we want on the menu, so we splurged.

We got to go the the rooftop of our hotel in Greenwich Village to see a very spectacular view of the city.  Breathtaking!

I have so much more to tell you, but I’m splitting this post up into small pieces. I still have 300 pictures to go through, sort and edit. Sorry, to have to put you through two (or three) more NY posts but I’d like to share and have a record of what we did.

I love New York! Love it!!

p.s.Thanks for all the birthday orders. All packages were sent out yesterday!  Yay!!
