Along with the crazy anxiety I’ve been having, I’ve had a lot of pain in my neck for the last month and finally had it checked on Monday. The x-rays show a pretty crooked neck which has been causing all the pain.
They think it is a torn ligament in my neck, from long ago, that is the cause of the curvature. It’s just one of those things that I’ve been dealing with for so long, that I didn’t realize it was a problem until my neck started screaming at me.
So now I am getting therapy, which involves exercises, massage and stretching. I’ve had 2 sessions so far (at least 10 more to go) and am already feeling a bit better. I am so thankful to be getting some relief.

I too have had a huge “crookedness” on my neck for so long that I never thought it was something wrong, I was just used dealing with it.
I thought “I am tired”, “Its the end of the day” and all that.

oh, my goodness!!! i hope you’re feeling a bit better after some massage 🙂
i started taking Pilates last year & have been trying to correct my posture ever since.
had to take the summer off, & i feel like i’m starting almost at the beginning.
i highly recommend it – but see if your insurance will pay for some private classes. mat classes are usually cheaper, but with a neck injury, you’d want more personal attention!!
Yes, I definitely need help with my posture. An working on that. Private pilates sounds wonderful.
Ouch! Glad that you are getting some relief. Hopefully the pain is distracting you from your inspiring artwork, and I hope you feel even better soon.
