I love it when I actually complete a project from my “Make” board on pinterest! I sure do like collecting them. There is over 300 DIY projects on that board — good grief!!
I did this project yesterday while I had my spray paint out, painting old frames. I thought it was a good time to pull out a large bucket of water, some paper and several cans of paint. I was also needing to clean my house and prepare for friends coming over for dinner, but you know, that kind of thing has to wait when inspiration strikes!
This was actually a very fun, quick and easy project. You can see all the how to HERE. I would love to try this process on glass bottles. I also really want to try doing mercury glass on jars and vases but can’t find Looking Glass Spray anywhere!
I ended up using some of this paper to cut out hearts and string them for my mantel. It’s almost done!
I hardly ever comment, but your blog is a daily inspiration for me. It’s one of the ones I always read to get a spot of beautiful color in my day!
We always find the looking glass spray at the craft store, Hobby Lobby where I live, but sometimes Michaels too. Maybe your stores are all sold out?
Thanks for commenting– you are too sweet! Yes, Michael’s shelves did seem a little bare. We don’t have our Hobby Lobby opened yet, maybe in the next month.
I love that last little mosaic of all the papers! So pretty! Oh I would love to see you do this on glass bottles! That would look so neat!
Thanks Chara~ I agree, I may have to really try the bottle thing.
My “make” board may have over 600 pins. And now will have more since I’m following your “make” board. 😀
Whoa! too funny!
Those are gorgeous. Even prettier then the tutorial.
Thanks Dana! You are too sweet 🙂
