I thought I’d better brighten up this little space with some flowers. I have been finding some really great stuff on my walks lately. It is what has been keeping me going five days a week. The hunt for beautiful things. Right now it is flowers, which are in full bloom. In a month or so, there will be a lot less because of the increasing temps. So I am capturing them now, while they are bright and abundant.
A few other things keeping me going on my morning walks:
* my new kicks, which are super comfortable and have those super bright turquoise shoelaces. They make me very happy.
* Using Map My Walks app on my phone. I stop a lot to take photos, but I get to keep track of how far I am walking.
* Changing my route. I get to see different parts of Tucson which has allowed me to see how artsy this town is.
* Instagram and facebook posts. By doing a daily pic, I feel accountable and I get to share what I see.
I’ve been walking Monday through Friday now for 9 weeks and am looking forward to more morning walks.
What pretty flowers you found on your walk. Where did you find the pretty pink flowered tree? Not something you see everyday in Tucson.
Yes, I was surprised to see it too. It was in the Sam Hughes neighborhood, near Himmel Park

I’ve been walking almost every day for a year now and just started bring my iPhone with me to take photos. There’s lots to see on my walk ~ tho it’s been sort of dark when I leave. Now that the time has changed it’s finally starting to be light at 6:30 and I can take more.

I love all the color! And the color of you shoes! 🙂 I actually went into my fav. running shoe store the other day cause I realized that it’d been years since I bought new running shoes…maybe that’s why my back has been sore! anyway, I was totally blown away by all the color on the shoes – when did runners turn fluorescent!? Too funny…apparently I’ve been hiding under a rock. 🙂
I was surprised by that too. Walking shoes are mostly white (blah!) so I had to get ones that were a little more colorful than that. 🙂
