more wood burning

wood burning kitchen utensils

I sorta got a little obsessed with wood burning over the holidays. Broke two tips in the process.

I made them to give to family members as gifts.

I think it is out of my system now. I have put the burner away for a while, but may revisit it again. Maybe some wooden boxes?

these are fabulous Regina. I love them. The one with the bee is my favourite because the BEE is my symbol for this year. 🙂

these are amazing! We bought a wood burner and blank wooden spoons and had hoped to decorate them for family for gifts. We found it so difficult to even make straight lines, or anything close to as lovely as these. Do you have any tips?

Hi Carolyn, I had practiced on some softer wood first, to get a good feel for it. Try those inexpensive wood cutouts at the craft store. I think they are baltic birch plywood. I use the pointy tip, a steady hand and a lot of patience, because it is pretty slow going. Also, take frequent breaks so that the burner has time to re-heat and be completely hot while burning.
