My Little Super Hero

se1.jpg

This is my little super hero! He can run faster than a flying tomato! He helps people and animals (imaginary) that are in trouble and he’ll help a real bug if he can find one (probably not so helpful to the bug). Anyway, I made this little cape for him because he was running around the back yard with the tent cover wrapped around his neck. Didn’t seem so safe. The cape is basically a half circle with two straps to tie. The dark blue fabric has sparkles to it and the underneath fabric has clouds (as you can see). He picked them out himself. The emblem, if you will, was made using Pentel Fabricfun Pastel Dye Sticks just on white fabric. My mom bought them for me a couple of years ago when she came for a visit and I just found them again a few days ago. They worked out great. You draw your picture and then heat set it with an iron. I’ve washed this without problems. I plan on letting my E-guy try the dye sticks out on a white t-shirt. He’d love that! You can see more pictures of Super E here.

How fun! I’ll bet your super hero will cherish that forever!

You’ve got great craft stores in your area, that’s for sure. Lends for creative ventures. Next year when we have to go back, I’m planning on taking classes since I’ve pretty much done all the typical tourist things in Dallas. Thanks for the post. 🙂

oh, and the self portrait links were very enlightening. Interesting how what we may have been told about not be self-centered during our youth, has morphed itself into now being uncomfortable with our own faces!
