Origami

cov_origami_z.jpgThese were made by my Super-E, with just a wee bit of help from mom and dad. You know, some of those folds can be a little tricky. He discovered origami while home sick at the beginning of the week. Picked it up in a flash and has been busy creating little paper objects and creatures. We used this book to help with the creations. Klutz always has the best books for these kinds of things. I already have a few of their books and love them!

I see these bright paper objects scattered all over the house and they make me smile.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

Oooh, oooh, can super E show me how to make that bunny in the middle? I’ve been looking and looking and I can’t find directions. Klutz books are the absolute *best*! Do you know about Chicken Socks, too?

Wow, he did a good job. Last week I had found a fun book at the dollar store and it had stickers for the eyes. I like how super E drew eyes. Unfortunately, my dog ate them before I could take some pictures.

These are so cute!!! We made some paper flowers, sort of like origami. I love origami, especially all the patterns of the different papers.

Have a great weekend and thanks for all of your comments!

I’m looking for fun things to send my Indian sponsored child. The charity doesn’t recommend sending anything that cant ship flat, because it can cause problems at customs. My most recent shipment was paper dolls and a coloring book.

I’m wondering, does the Klutz origami book SHOW the instructions enough or do you have to be able to read English? I think this would be such a fun gift for this little girl and her siblings. Thanks!

Such pretty origami. I tried doing it once b/c I thought it would be relaxing, but it only frustrated me. It’s not as easy as it looks and requires patience.
