Big Baby Package for my friends

Our long time friends, the mathematician and his beautiful wife, had their baby a week ago.  A little gem she is.   I worked for a long, long time on a diaper bag stuffed with lots of goodies for them.  I’ve already shown you these and these that were also tucked away into this bag and sent.  Here is everything else:

Diaper bag, fleece hat, hand-me-down baby sling, bibs, changing pad, flannel burp cloths and 2 organic cotton crocheted washcloths.

It’s funny how all these baby memories of your own children come flooding back when ever a friend or family member has a baby.  Pulling out the old baby sling, that we used for both kids, has so many sweet memories embedded in the fibers.   All the sleepless nights, the constant breastfeeding, the shushing and swaying of little bodies curled up in your arms.  I wouldn’t trade any of those memories for anything.

I’m sure the new parents will love everything – especially the time you put into creating all of it for them! 🙂 It looks like a wonderful package.
