I voted (mail-in) over 2 weeks ago. Although it felt good to make my choice and send in my hopes and dreams stuffed into a yellow envelope, I was pretty sure that my vote wouldn’t really count, being in a red state and all.
But the news is now saying that my vote very well may be helpful after all. See, Arizona, according to CNN, is now pink, no longer red!!! Pink!!! So my hope is rising through my chest and in my throat, as well as my anxiety. I am so inspired, in fact, that I have offered to come to work, on my day off, to allow other nurses to vote if need be. I’m feeling quite optimistic.
Isn’t it incredible? I can’t wait for tomorrow!
You vote girl! I am hopeful; we’ll see what happens tomorrow, but keep your spirits high (being in a red state). By the way, Virginia is a red state but the talking heads are saying we’ll go blue this year. Phew! I hope so!
Isn’t great! I’m from a blue state (WA), but I’ve been getting more and more hopeful when I see those reds turning pink. Maybe AZ will even turn at least a light blue–I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Personally I think they should use purple (red + blue) for any state that is close.
I have a tradition of taking my kids to vote with me, ever since Sofia was just 4 days old. It is going to KILL me though to wait until after school tomorrow. I just want the day to be over.
I just heard the announcement of our new president–yay! And wasn’t McCain gracious with his concession speech–one of his best the whole campaign. I do hope we can move on from here now.
Hey, that’s on Speedway! I love that bison.
I found you through some blog link somewhere to your eye “T”. We’ve already started our own shirts and will post our results with a link to you.
