winterland paper-cut art

With the temps in the mid 6os and rising to the high 70s by the end of the week, it’s hard to get in the spirt of the holidays.  I really look foward to our two weeks of winter, and dang it, I am still waiting.

So, I thought some wintery art work would balance the bright sun, and my bright walls too.

I have to say I have an incredible appreciation of paper-cut art after cutting these.  I bought a brand new exacto knife, hoping it would ease my vission onto paper. It helped, but was still difficult.  I backed them with scrap book paper, because by the time I was done cutting these, I wanted them framed and on the wall FAST!

They are up, but will probably be moved to a different location once we get our tree in.

So the decorating continues…

I love how you’ve handled the trees.

…I don’t really mind the 60’s and 70’s this time of year! Although I do think Christmas lights look silly on Palmetto trees. ;~)

Those are beautiful, I just cut out my first tree (tree of life i call it), and I was exhausted!!
I have to laugh, when I talk to my Mom who lives in Tucson she says how frigid(65 degrees) it is! She always truly hated the cold here on the East Coast.
Can’t wait to pull out my Creative Kismet ornaments from last year! Happy Holidays!
