Mini Laptop Bag

front

I was commissioned to make this for a friend at work.  She has one of these teeney little laptops and couldn’t find a good bag for it.

She picked the fabric and I went to work.

I’m really happy with how it turned out.  I’d like to make a couple more for my little guys, but with colors and fabric they choose.  They would be adventure bags, so they can carry all their little treasures and findings when we go out. This way, they can carry the rocks in their bags, instead of me. Who am I kidding? I’ll end up having to carry the bags!

We are getting ready for a big trip to California next week.  Leaving on Tuesday for 10 days! Going up the coast from San Diego to San Fransisco.  Any craft fairs or very interesting-quirky cool places we shouldn’t miss?  Just asking so I don’t miss the opportunity to visit some place very cool or crafty. I’m hoping to hit some really great farmer’s markets and fresh fruit! Yum!!

Have a lovely weekend!!

  2. Omigosh, I’m making one for a friend, too. I’m using thrifted placemats. Yours is great.

  3. I just read the rest of your post-the Raw Spirit Festival is in Santa Barbara early June

It’s a bit spendy-sign up to be one of their first aid people and they refund your admission.
I may do that for the Prescott festival.

The Main Street Farmer’s Market in Santa Monica is nice. It’s on Sundays. They often have kids stuff like pony rides and the beach is very close by. We go to that area sometimes for haircuts and make a day of it.

that bag is so cute, is it hanging on your car? I think adventure packs are a great idea! I can’t wait to see them. you should put a bunch of little loops on the outside for those clips, that lock, that way they can hook stuff on, like more junk…for you to carry… hmm. maybe not clips..

Yay for fun road trips! If you go through San Luis Obispo, eat at Big Sky Cafe – delicious food! Also get coffee at Linnea’s on Garden Street. The farmer’s market in SLO is on Thursday evenings – it is an amazing experience. I lived in SLO for 7 years and miss it dearly…the downtown area is just fabulous to stroll through and explore – the kids would love playing in the creek that runs through. You’d have to also add gum to “Bubble Gum Alley”. These are all places you could ask any local about when you get there to be pointed in the right direction!

If you can get up to Crescent City, come visit us at the lighthouse. My husband and I, also from Tucson, are leading tours the month of June. We did it last year too.
