Weekend love

* Celebrating 16 years of wonderful marital bliss.  Truly, I have been blessed with a wonderful man.

* The perfect anniversary gift: my new family birthstone ring.  I can’t stop looking at it, I love it so much (thank you honey).

* A trip to the pool wearing my new cover-up (thanks for all the cover-up love!). Sorry, no modeling picture, forgot my camera.

* A movie date to see 500 Days of Summer which was really good.  The soundtrack may be my new favorite soundtrack bumping Garden State down a notch.  I had almost forgotten how much I love The Smiths and who can’t love this Hall & Oates song.  It’s very catchy!

* A visit to the Beauty in the Breast Art Show, which was wonderful.  I was really nervous about seeing my art hung in a gallery, but it was perfect.  Lots of people and gorgeous art.

* A yummy meal with the kids at our favorite veggie restaurant where we told them stories of our wedding and honeymoon.

* Some very yummy Cherry Kuchen for dessert (and a bit of wine after the kids were in bed).

A perfect weekend ~ Hope yours was good too.

Your rings are all beautiful! And your weekend sounds perfectly relaxing. It kind of reminds me of the nice weekends we’d have when we were living in our old house. Thanks for sharing your weekend and happy anniversary.

I have just cut and pasted the cake recipe to make with apples. Quite difficult as my dog has squeezed onto my knee behind my laptop and has his head firmly in my right hand!

    Congrats on 16 years!

  6. Good for you! I love to see other people loving their spouses! There are so many movies/tv shows etc. that only show spouses being awful to one another…my hottie hubby and I are in big big love and am glad to see you are too!

Happy anniversary, you guys! Sounds like a great, great weekend. My girls love hearing stories of “the past,” and I can just imagine how much fun you must have had telling your guys stories you’ve probably told many times before.

Your paintings look right at home in a gallery, I just love your style. But you already knew that. :0)

How did I miss this post? Happy Anniversary, we celebrated our 14th recently. Beautiful ring too – a very nice gift, indeed.
